Provincial Farmers' Association surveyed preparations for the Goat Fighting Festival

On the morning of April 16, the Provincial Farmers' Association conducted a survey on preparations for the Goat Fighting Festival at Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2024 in Nho Quan district and Tam Diep city.

The goat fighting festival is a new activity, held for the first time during Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2024. The competition is chaired by the Provincial Farmers' Association with the participation of Farmers' Associations of districts and cities.

To prepare for the organization, the Provincial Farmers' Association surveyed the quality, appearance and competitive ability of the goats in Quang Lac commune (Nho Quan) and Dong Son commune (Tam Diep city). The goats selected for the competition are healthy male goats, 3 years old or older. Based on the survey, the Provincial Farmers' Association will develop a plan and competition rules suitable to the actual conditions.

The goat fighting festival is organized to create new tourism products. At the same time, it contributes to preserving and developing the precious genetic resources of the Ninh Binh goat breed.
