Scientific workshop "Underwater biomimetic robots and their potential applications in the Navy"

On the morning of November 10, the Faculty of Basic Engineering, Naval Academy in collaboration with the Laboratory of Digital Control and Systems Engineering (DCSElap) of the University of Technology, Ho Chi Minh City National University organized a scientific workshop on “Underwater biomimetic robots and their potential applications in the Navy”. Attending the workshop were Colonel, Dr. Nguyen Quang Trung - Director of the Naval Technical Institute; Dr. Duong Van Tu - Head of the research group on underwater biomimetic robots, University of Technology, Ho Chi Minh City National University.

At the workshop, many presentations by scientists from the University of Technology, Ho Chi Minh City National University and the Naval Academy discussed in depth the field of underwater biomimetic robots and their potential applications in the Navy. This is a new and difficult field, because the robots operate based on simulating the activities of marine animals. However, when research and production are successful, it will open up many application possibilities for the Navy in missions such as: Reconnaissance, search and rescue, neutralization of explosives, performing missions in restricted environments, etc.

Through the workshop, scientists shared experiences in building research processes, proposing implementation and production processes, testing, adjusting and perfecting scientific products. The workshop was also an opportunity for the two units to strengthen cooperation, exchange and share experiences in education and training, scientific research to improve the level of science and technology to serve projects and scientific topics that can be applied in the current Navy field.
