More than 1,000 students from Binh Thuan and Dak Nong come to Da Lat to study

In the 2025-2026 school year, more than 1,000 students from the two provinces of Binh Thuan and Dak Nong (old) followed their parents to Da Lat to study. Lam Dong Department of Education and Training has arranged schools and ensured the best conditions for students.

On September 4, the Department of Education and Training of Lam Dong province said that after the merger of the two provinces of Binh Thuan and Dak Nong (old), in the 2025-2026 school year, more than 1,000 students from the two (old) provinces mentioned above followed their parents to Da Lat to study.

After the merger, the entire Lam Dong education sector has 1,605 educational and training establishments. Of which, there are 527 preschools, 564 primary schools, 365 secondary schools, 149 high schools, vocational education centers - continuing education and other types. The total number of students and trainees at all levels is 845,200; the total number of civil servants and employees in the whole sector is over 49,950 people.

In order to create favorable conditions for parents and students, the Department of Education and Training reviewed the school and class system in Da Lat City (old), especially schools near provincial administrative agencies to arrange convenient learning and transportation for students.

Lam Dong Department of Education and Training has allocated 281 children from nursery and kindergarten classes to 10 kindergartens in Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat, Lam Vien Ward - Da Lat and Cam Ly Ward - Da Lat. Distributed 504 primary school students to 15 schools in the wards; allocated 369 secondary school students to the following schools: Nguyen Du, Quang Trung, Lam Son, Phan Chu Trinh, Tay Son, Chi Lang. Distributed 108 high school students to the following schools: Bui Thi Xuan High School, Tran Phu High School and 27 specialized students to Thang Long High School for the Gifted.

On the eve of the new school year, the reception of students took place quite smoothly and was completed, demonstrating the care and responsibility of all levels and sectors.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Binh, a civil servant transferred from Gia Nghia City, Dak Nong Province (old), parent of student Nguyen Thanh Son, class 4A7, Le Quy Don Primary School (Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat), said: "At first, what I was most concerned about was that when suddenly moving to a new learning environment, my child would have a disruption in his learning psychology, especially with teachers and friends. However, with the favorable conditions created by the school leadership, receiving the application and arranging the child to a suitable class, I was very reassured."

Similarly, Ms. Pham Thi Loan, a civil servant transferred from Gia Nghia City (old), whose son transferred to class 3A3 at Le Quy Don Primary School, said that all paperwork from transferring schools to receiving students was done very quickly.

In preparation for the new school year 2025-2026, teachers of Nguyen Du Secondary School, Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat, are busy cleaning the facilities and decorating the classrooms to welcome students. This is a school with 3,400 students, with 68 classes, specifically: grade 6: 17 classes, grade 7: 17 classes, grade 8: 19 classes and grade 9: 15 classes; considered the school with the largest number of students in Lam Dong province.

In the 2025-2026 school year, Nguyen Du Secondary School, Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat has more than 3,400 students studying.
