More than 1,000 people participated in the 1st Hoa Phu Commune Sports Festival

On the morning of October 26, Hoa Phu commune opened the first Sports Festival in 2025, with more than 1,000 participants, including 630 athletes competing in 8 events.

The activity is part of a series of events celebrating major holidays of the capital and the country.

Taking place at the Phu Chinh Village Cultural House yard, the Congress is a great festival of the people of Hoa Phu commune, demonstrating the strength of solidarity and the movement of physical training following the example of great Uncle Ho.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chairman of Hoa Phu Commune People's Committee Vu Xuan Hung affirmed that the Sports Festival is not only an opportunity to evaluate the physical training movement in the whole commune, but also a practical activity, creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere, contributing to building cultural life.

The congress is also an opportunity to select the athletes with the highest achievements to form the Hoa Phu commune team to participate in the 11th Capital Sports Festival in 2025.

In the opening program, delegates and people enjoyed the drum performance of Hoa Xa Village Club, the performance of the Commune Women's Union and local students with the theme "Youthful strength today, steady steps tomorrow".

Athletes participating in the congress competed in the following events: Men's and women's volleyball, tug of war, badminton, gymnastics with shuttlecock, fan tai chi, "Healthy for the country" and magnolia fan for the elderly.

At the Congress, the Organizing Committee awarded souvenir flags and flowers to the units participating in the parade and performance, and commended the collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in organizing and competing in the commune's sports, and the units that won the First, Second and Third prizes at the 1st Hoa Phu Commune Sports Festival in 2025.

The congress closed in a joyful and exciting atmosphere, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity and determination to bring the physical training and sports movement of Hoa Phu commune to new heights, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 1st Party Congress of the commune, term 2025-2030.
