More than 173 thousand young people received stable job support after the first 6 months of the year

According to reports at the Conference, closely following the theme of the Youth Union's work in 2024 "Year of Youth Volunteers", in the first 6 months of 2024, the Youth Union organizations at all levels across the country have implemented many contents and activities close to the practical needs of young people, especially the implementation of the Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union at the grassroots level.

Notably, in the past six months, 100% of commune and ward-level units nationwide have completed the Congress on schedule; implemented 783 support activities for more than 244,000 young people to start businesses; accompanied more than 1,000 innovative start-up projects of nearly 146,000 young people with a total value of nearly 300 billion VND.

In addition, the Vietnam Youth Union at all levels introduced jobs to more than 490,000 young people, from which more than 173,000 young people have had stable jobs; provided medical examination and treatment, and gave free medicine to more than 340,000 children and people in difficult circumstances with a budget of more than 54 billion VND; carried out more than 1,200 voluntary blood donation activities, collecting about 452,000 units of blood.

In the past 6 months, the whole country had more than 6.6 million cadres and members participating in at least 2 volunteer activities, nearly 13 million young people participating in at least 1 volunteer activity implemented by the Youth Union and Association. The Vietnam Youth Union at all levels also developed more than 661 thousand new members and more than 1 thousand Association organizations in non-state enterprises.

It is known that in the last 6 months of 2024, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, its collective member associations and affiliated units will strive to successfully complete many key activities, typically: The 68th anniversary of the Association's traditional day, honoring "Outstanding Young Families", the "Youth Live Beautifully" journey, the programs "Sharing with Teachers", "Shining Vietnamese Willpower", the "Miss Vietnamese Students" contest, the National Volunteer Day, the Red Star Award - Outstanding Young Vietnamese Entrepreneurs, the Winter Volunteer and Spring Volunteer programs.
