Accordingly, the rate of households using hygienic water reached 100%; the rate of households using clean water meeting Vietnamese Standards (QCVN) reached 84.01%; the rate of poor households using hygienic water reached 100%; the rate of poor households using clean water meeting QCVN reached 72.45%; the average standard of domestic water supply was 104 liters/person/day and night. However, the rate of centralized water supply works with sustainable management and exploitation organizations accounted for only 28.57%.
In addition, the Center for Clean Water and Rural Environmental Sanitation in Vinh Phuc collected and analyzed 1,100 water samples from small-scale household water supply works (water supply from dug wells and drilled wells), of which 1,002/1,100 samples met QCVN, reaching 91.09%. 100% of water samples from centralized water supply works managed and operated by the Center for Clean Water and Rural Environmental Sanitation in Vinh Phuc met QCVN.
To increase the proportion of people using clean water from centralized water supply works, the Provincial People's Committee requires authorities at all levels to supervise the implementation of rural clean water supply for communes without clean water.
At the same time, promote propaganda, mobilize and encourage people to use clean rural water effectively, contributing to gradually completing and maintaining the criteria for the new rural construction program.
