Groundbreaking ceremony for the Great Unity House - one of the projects to welcome the Party Congress of Huong An Ward

Milestone for new development stage

After completing the merger of the three wards of Huong So, An Hoa and Huong An (old), Huong An ward was officially established with a population of nearly 36,000 people and 51 branches and affiliated party committees. The formation of a new administrative unit not only creates advantages in scale but also places higher demands on vision, organization and synchronous development orientation.

Therefore, the 1st Congress of the Party Committee of Huong An Ward, term 2025 - 2030, has special significance, as it is a time to shape the future. Major orientations on urban management, economic - cultural development, administrative reform, digital transformation, green and sustainable development will be the goals to strive for in the new term.

According to Mr. Truong Quang Trung, Secretary of the Party Committee of Huong An Ward, the Party Committee has directed the subcommittees of documents, personnel and congress organization to urgently deploy the work. Up to now, 100% of the branches and affiliated party committees have successfully organized grassroots congresses. The document preparation work has been carefully carried out through many rounds of comments and adjustments in a spirit of openness, science and closeness to reality.

Immediately after its establishment, the Standing Committee of the Ward Party Committee quickly completed the sub-committees serving the congress, issued a detailed plan and assigned specific tasks to each working group. Up to now, many meetings have been held to contribute ideas and complete the documents. Each Party cell, residential group and mass organization has been widely consulted, ensuring democracy and promoting collective intelligence.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward also organized to collect opinions from the heads of the Front’s working committees and grassroots association officials. The contents that received in-depth comments included: Improving the quality of cadres, promoting the potential of services, green agriculture , building a civilized urban lifestyle, improving infrastructure and enhancing dialogue with the people.

The Party Committee has coordinated with relevant agencies to thoroughly review and ensure the personnel selection process is in the right direction, both inheriting experience and promoting a team of young, dynamic cadres, suitable for the requirements of the transition period.

Along with content preparation, propaganda work was also stepped up. On the central streets of the ward, billboards, flags and streamers welcoming the congress were brightly decorated. Thematic activities "Towards the Party Congress" in residential groups and units helped raise political awareness in the community.

The first Congress of the Party Committee of Huong An Ward will take place from August 6-7, 2025, with the participation of 150 official delegates and about 70 invited delegates. This will be a forum to express the will, aspirations and determination of the entire Party Committee, government and people of the ward in the new term.

Promoting the strength of the people

Towards the congress, the Party Committee and the People's Committee of the ward have launched many practical emulation movements: Starting construction of 2 houses and handing over 2 houses to disadvantaged households; organizing the "Green Sunday" campaign to renovate the landscape of parks and relics; mobilizing organizations to join hands in urban beautification, preserving a green - clean - beautiful living environment.

According to the representative of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward, the locality considers this an opportunity to mobilize the strength of the entire people to act together for the new face of Huong An. Thereby, creating a patriotic emulation atmosphere, contributing to strengthening the people's trust in the leadership of the Party.

Mr. Nguyen Minh, a party member with many years of Party membership in Huong An ward, expressed his hope: "I hope this congress will select people who are truly dedicated and have vision. As a new ward, Huong An still faces many difficulties, but I believe that with the current dynamic leadership team, the locality will have many positive changes."

“Up to this point, the preparation work for the 1st Congress of the Huong An Ward Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030 has been basically completed, ensuring the requirements, quality and progress set out,” affirmed Mr. Truong Quang Trung, Secretary of the Huong An Ward Party Committee.
