Connecting businesses to develop digital economy

Building a digital economy helps localities develop socio-economy, improve competitiveness and promote digital transformation (DTM), science, technology (STC), and innovation (ICT).

Promote the implementation of breakthrough tasks

During the 2025-2030 term, Dong Nai province determined to: Focus on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation in all fields; increase investment in science and technology infrastructure and digital infrastructure; form innovation centers and high-tech zones; develop digital economy and digital society.

Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Dong Nai province Pham Van Trinh shared: The science and technology sector will implement many key tasks and solutions to strive to make the digital economy account for 30% of the province's GRDP. In particular, the province will focus on completing digital infrastructure and data; completing and putting into operation the Long Thanh Concentrated Digital Technology Park, high-tech parks, technology demonstration and transfer centers; speeding up the progress of digital transformation in key areas such as: processing and manufacturing industry, logistics, finance - banking, trade and services. At the same time, building and sharing the province's open data warehouse to support businesses, especially small and medium enterprises, to access data for innovation.

At the same time, the province will focus on upgrading data centers according to the cloud computing model, building a Cyber Security Operations Center (SOC); expanding 5G/6G infrastructure, low-orbit satellite internet; applying AI, blockchain, IoT in state administration, public services, smart cities, etc.

In recent times, businesses and units in the province have increasingly focused on investing in the application of science and technology and digital transformation to improve labor productivity and production and business efficiency. Thereby, contributing to the development of the local digital economy.

From Long Khanh, the company is nurturing bigger plans, ready to expand to Dong Nai localities, especially super wards such as: Tran Bien, Tam Hiep... In addition, the company will also focus on promoting the development of local fruit and specialty agricultural products on online platforms.

Strengthening the connection between technology supply and demand

In the context of the world economy shifting strongly to a growth model based on knowledge and technology, science and technology and innovation have become key drivers of productivity, quality and competitiveness, contributing to the development of the digital economy. One of the important solutions is to strengthen the connection between technology supply and demand, commercialize science and technology products, digital transformation and innovation. This is not only the task of scientists or businesses, but also the common mission of the whole society.

At the same time, promote the application of science and technology in production and management; support enterprises to transform management models, smart production based on digital technology. In particular, the province will promote the development of digital human resources, apply AI, blockchain, big data to improve productivity, reduce costs, expand the technology market...

Director of the Center for Promoting Science and Technology Market Development (Department of Innovation, Ministry of Science and Technology) Nguyen Van Thanh shared: To develop the science and technology market in a modern, effective and sustainable direction, localities, including Dong Nai province, need to focus on synchronously implementing many groups of solutions. First of all, the province needs to invest in developing infrastructure and technology market data platforms, building and connecting local database systems with the national database system on technology supply and demand, experts and intermediary organizations.

At the same time, localities need to improve financial and investment mechanisms, effectively operate science and technology funds, provincial innovation funds and support organizations, encourage enterprises to form and use funds, thereby promoting enterprises to research, apply and transfer technology.

“In particular, Dong Nai needs to connect and integrate with the national digital platform on science and technology and innovation, allowing online search, pricing and registration of technology transactions; supporting standardization of data, technology codes, classification of fields, industries, and application needs, thereby focusing on key local products and industries to promote effective connection between technology supply and demand,” Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh emphasized.

According to the results of the Digital Transformation Index (DTI) 2024 announced by the Ministry of Science and Technology in October 2025, in terms of digital economy ranking, Dong Nai ranked 14th in the country with 0.8063 points. The leading locality in the country in terms of digital economy ranking is Hanoi City with 0.9145 points; Lang Son and Quang Ninh provinces ranked 2nd and 3rd respectively in this index.
