Opening of the 9th Dien Bien Dong Spring Festival in 2025

Dien Bien TV - On the morning of January 30, in Dien Bien Dong town, the People's Committee of Dien Bien Dong district opened the 2025 Spring Festival, with the highlight being the traditional bullfighting. Attending were comrade Tran Quoc Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; comrade Mua A Son, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; comrade Lo Van Phuong, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; comrade Mua A Vang, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; comrade Lo Thi Minh Phuong, member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and a large number of people both inside and outside the district.

Provincial leaders presented souvenir flags and flowers to the delegations attending the spring festival.

Dien Bien Dong Spring Festival and traditional bullfighting take place for 3 days from January 30 to February 1 (ie from the 2nd to the 4th day of the Lunar New Year).

This is the 9th time the Spring Festival at the beginning of the new year has been organized by Dien Bien Dong district; it is a practical activity to welcome the new year, and at the same time aims to promote the image and people of Dien Bien Dong to a large number of tourists.

The bullfighting festival attracts many tourists and locals to watch and cheer.

The Spring Festival takes place with many activities such as: Bullfighting; traditional costume performance; art exchange; Chung cake wrapping and Day cake pounding contests and performances and competitions of traditional ethnic sports .

The Spring Festival is an annual event, creating opportunities for local ethnic groups to meet, exchange and share techniques and experiences in cattle raising as well as in production. This year’s 9th bullfighting festival attracted 54 large, strong bulls to compete./.
