Opening of the 20th Session of the Provincial People's Council (10th term): Reviewing and deciding on 16 contents of reports and projects submitted by the Provincial People's Committee

(QNO) - This morning, January 23, the Provincial People's Council opened its 20th session under the chairmanship of Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Council Tran Xuan Vinh and Nguyen Cong Thanh.

At this thematic session, the Provincial People's Council will consider and decide on 16 reports, proposals and projects submitted by the Provincial People's Committee. In particular, it will consider and decide on important policies in the fields of budget, education , culture, ensuring social security and security and order.

Speaking at the opening of the session, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Tran Xuan Vinh affirmed that the 20th session was held after the 19th session - the special session at the end of 2023 in nearly a month, demonstrating the proactive, positive and cooperative spirit of the Provincial People's Council in implementing the province's political tasks, increasingly better meeting the practical requirements of life, which is the expectation of the people and voters of Quang Nam .

Although the time was short, the contents of the meeting were actively prepared by the Provincial People's Committee and relevant agencies, ensuring the process and procedures according to regulations; the Committees of the Provincial People's Council participated in providing comments and completed the preparation process and conducted the review, submitted to the Provincial People's Council for consideration and decision.

“This session has many important contents. I request that delegates focus on researching, discussing, and contributing ideas to complete the resolutions issued by the Provincial People's Council to meet practical requirements, the province's ability to balance resources, and comply with current legal regulations, and soon come into life" - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Tran Xuan Vinh said.

According to the meeting agenda, the Provincial People's Council listened to representatives of the Provincial People's Committee present the contents of reports, submissions, and inspection reports of the Provincial People's Council Committees and discussed and commented on related contents.

At this session, the Provincial People's Council also considered timely amendments and supplements to policies issued by the Provincial People's Council to ensure the provisions of current laws and the actual conditions of the province on: Decentralization of development investment expenditure between the provincial budget and the district budget in the province for the period 2021 - 2025; Decentralization of management and use of public assets of agencies, organizations and units under the management of the province; Support policies for preschool children, pupils and students who are ethnic minorities; pupils and students with disabilities studying at educational institutions in the province... and a number of other important contents under the authority of the Provincial People's Council.
