In his opening remarks at the event, Mr. Le Hai Binh stated that 2025 marks a proud milestone as Vietnam rises to 46th place globally in the World Happiness Report, an increase of 8 positions compared to the previous year. This is not just a statistical figure, but also a recognition of the persistent efforts of the Party and State in creating a safe, humane living environment and, above all, the optimistic and compassionate spirit of the Vietnamese people. It also vividly reflects the aspirations and collective efforts of millions of Vietnamese people towards a prosperous, thriving, and loving future.
Mr. Le Hai Binh emphasized: "Each citizen is the subject who creates happiness, who inspires and tells that story of happiness through their own lives. For the Vietnamese people, happiness is always built on simple things: a warm family meal, a bountiful harvest, a helping hand in times of hardship. It is these small values that have contributed to the enduring strength of the country for many generations."

With that in mind, the Vietnam Happy Fest 2025 was created as a multi-layered experiential journey. This year's event space is organized along the streets surrounding Ho Guom Lake. Thirteen experiential points are designed as 13 emotional rhythms: Vietnam Happy Exhibition; Digital Interactive Space; Art Photobooth; Lens of Happiness; Map of Happiness; Outdoor activity "Health is Happiness"; Sending Happiness to Tomorrow; Sharing Happiness; Happy Announcer.

In particular, at the Ly Thai To Monument area, the "Tree of Happiness" will receive tens of thousands of wishes and blessings. Each small piece of paper is a story, a wish, a seed of love. Besides celebrating happiness, the event also conveys a spirit of support for Central Vietnam and other disadvantaged regions.
One particularly noteworthy event was the mass wedding ceremony of 80 couples – "Love is Happiness". The joy of these 80 couples today symbolizes 80 years of independence, freedom, and happiness for the nation.

Among them are young couples embarking on a new life together, and couples who have been together for 15, 30, or 50 years. They are a vivid example showing that happiness is not a miracle, but rather understanding and sharing every day.
Along with the wedding ceremony, other activities such as the "Hundred Flowers Walking Parade" with 800 participants in traditional Vietnamese attire; the "Lens of Happiness" workshop; the Happy Vietnam 2025 awards ceremony; and the "Happy Vietnam" music night… will take locals and tourists on a journey of color, art, and genuine emotions.
The 3rd Happy Vietnam Award, also organized on the platform of promoting the image of Vietnam as a nation, continued to achieve great success. In 2025, the competition attracted more than 4,600 authors with over 17,000 photo and video entries, a 1.7-fold increase compared to 2024. Each work is a touching story, a genuine glimpse into the lives of the Vietnamese people, their peaceful lives, and the ever-changing beauty of the country, told from the appreciative perspective of the people themselves and international friends.
