Opening of Muong Art Today Museum (MAM) and exhibition “Multidimensional Expansion”

NDO - Tomorrow (April 19), Muong Art Today Museum (MAM) will officially open and kick off with the exhibition "Multidimensional Expansion" with the participation of 18 artists, from veteran names of Vietnamese art to young artists, asserting themselves in the modern era.

Muong Art Today Museum (MAM) has an exhibition area of over ^2,000m2 , located in the Muong Cultural Space Museum (No. 202 Tay Tien Street, Hoa Binh City) of artist Vu Duc Hieu. This is a space to introduce and support artists and annual contemporary art activities.

According to artist Vu Duc Hieu, from 2007 to now (except for the years of the Covid-19 pandemic), every year the Muong Cultural Space Museum has held one or two new creative camp events, from pottery, sculpture to the multifaceted international camp of Contemporary Existentialism...

In the exhibition “Multidimensional Expansion”, Muong Art Today Museum (MAM) invited 18 artists to participate with 26 works, they belong to many different generations, have different artistic journeys, but have distinct creative personalities and are well-positioned in the general context of Vietnamese art from 2000 to present.

Artists invited to participate on this occasion include: Le Quang Ha, Nguyen Ngoc Lam, Nguyen Duy Manh, Thai Nhat Minh, Tran Luu My, Van Ngoc, Tran Viet Phu, Phan Dinh Phuc, Nguyen Ngoc Phuong, Dinh Quan, Le Anh Quan, Dao Tan, Vuong Van Thao, Le Thua Tien, Trinh Minh Tien, Nguyen Huy Tinh, Dao Duy Tung, Khong Do Tuyen.

In addition, "Multidimensional Expansion" also features 7 authors with 10 works from the permanent collection of Muong Art Today Museum for many years.

The exhibition also received consultation from prestigious names in the art world, including: Nguyen Quan - painter, sculptor, art theorist; Phan Cam Thuong - painter, art researcher; Dao Chau Hai - sculptor; Vu Huy Thong - painter, art researcher and manager of the exhibition house 42 Yet Kieu; and Vu Duc Hieu - Director of Muong Art Today Museum. They participated in the process of selecting works, ensuring that each work displayed has profound artistic value and reflects the true spirit of the exhibition.

According to art researcher and critic Vu Huy Thong, in the context of many turning points shaping a new system of values in art, the exhibition "Multidimensional Expansion" focuses on works with diverse artistic languages, expressing the artist's persistent and continuous interest in the rapid changes of real life.

The exhibition will open at 10am on April 19, and will be on display for one month, until May 19, 2025.
