Khanh Hoa sets up 9 emergency working groups to respond to storm No. 13

Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has decided to establish 9 special working groups to urgently direct the prevention and control of storm Kalmaegi (storm No. 13).

On September 5, the Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 1925/QD-UBND on establishing a working group and assigning areas of responsibility to deploy the work of preventing and combating storm No. 13 (storm Kalmaegi).

The working group is led by the Chairman, Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee and Deputy Heads of the Provincial Civil Defense Command and is assigned very specific tasks to ensure absolute safety for people and property, especially in areas related to agriculture and essential infrastructure.

First of all, the working group must monitor and directly direct disaster prevention work in the assigned localities. Specifically, it must regularly organize inspections and supervise the implementation of disaster response plans, ensuring safety for people, infrastructure and production activities before, during and after the rainy and stormy season.

Along with that, control vehicles at sea and in coastal areas by checking and handling boats (including ferries on rivers and seas) in dangerous areas, at the same time guiding them to move to safe storm shelters, avoiding areas affected by storms and reviewing safety plans for industrial activities, hydroelectric dams, and power systems to limit damage caused by natural disasters. As well as ensuring the supply of goods, proactively checking and controlling the market, not allowing shortages of essential goods or unreasonable price increases.

At the same time, it is responsible for coordinating with relevant forces to quickly deploy response and search and rescue work when bad situations arise. At the same time, it is necessary to mobilize forces and means to support the evacuation of people, maintain order and respond to landslides, flash floods and flash floods. At the same time, it is necessary to develop a backup plan to ensure smooth communication from the province to the commune and village in all situations.

In addition, responsible for directing the safety of students, equipment, and infrastructure of the education sector, not to interrupt learning and testing, and providing safety guidance for tourists and tourism activities at sea, islands, and coastal areas.
