Inauguration of Hai Anh Wind Power Plant Project

QTO - Along with the groundbreaking and inauguration activities of works and projects to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in the province, on the morning of August 19, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province and Hai Anh Wind Power Joint Stock Company jointly organized the inauguration of the Hai Anh Wind Power Plant Project. Attending the ceremony were Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of National Defense, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Hong Thai; leaders of Military Region 4.

On the side of Quang Tri province, there were Central Party Committee member, Provincial Party Secretary Le Ngoc Quang; members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee: Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam; Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee Ly Kieu Van; Commander of the Provincial Military Command, Colonel Doan Sinh Hoa; leaders of relevant departments, branches and localities.

The Hai Anh Wind Power Plant Project was approved for investment by the Provincial People's Committee on March 22, 2021, and started construction on December 20, 2023, with a capacity of 40MW and a total investment of VND 1,500 billion invested by Hai Anh - Quang Tri Wind Power Joint Stock Company, a level II group B energy project. During the implementation process, despite numerous difficulties due to harsh weather conditions, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and supply chain disruptions, with the determination and creativity of the investor and the support of Quang Tri province, the project was completed on schedule, ensuring quality, safety and efficiency.

When put into operation, the plant will supply about 118 million kWh/year to the national power system, contributing to reducing the pressure of power shortage, ensuring energy sources for socio -economic development of Quang Tri and neighboring areas. The project is expected to bring in revenue of over 200 billion VND per year, contributing about 20 billion VND/year to the local budget. During the construction process, the project has invested in and upgraded nearly 10km of roads, creating convenience for people, expanding trade and infrastructure in the project area.

The project also contributes to ensuring national energy security, while opening up new job and livelihood opportunities for local people, becoming a new mark on Vietnam's renewable energy map - where each rotation of the propeller is the beat of change and belief in a green future.
