Over the years, Project 939 has been implemented by the Women's Union at all levels of Lam Dong province, contributing to improving the lives and creating jobs for women, especially in rural areas. Thereby, contributing to enhancing the role and position of women in society, especially poor women and ethnic minorities. At the same time, creating opportunities for gender equality in the economy; helping women improve business skills, build product brands, and product quality standards.
The Association at all levels has supported 813 women to start businesses and start businesses.
In particular, the outstanding activity of the implementation of Project 939 is that every year, the Lam Dong Provincial Women's Union has successfully organized "Women's Entrepreneurship Day" with specific and practical topics; arousing the spirit of entrepreneurship, starting a business, and creativity of women, while connecting female-owned businesses, authors with feasible startup ideas and projects with departments, branches, sectors, units, and sponsors so that all parties have more information, search, access, and support resources for women to start a business.
Women's Entrepreneurship Day and the Entrepreneurship Idea Competition are practical, annual activities, creating a bridge to help women members in the province meet, exchange, and share experiences in entrepreneurial activities, starting businesses, and developing new ideas.
According to the Provincial Women's Union, in the past 8 years, the Union at all levels has supported 813 women to start businesses and start businesses, including many women from poor and disadvantaged households, ethnic minority women, women with disabilities, etc. The Union at all levels also coordinated and supported the establishment of 12 cooperatives (HTX), 59 cooperative groups (THT) managed by women, including 2 cooperatives and THTs owned or managed by ethnic minority women.
In addition, more than 550 ideas and projects participated in the provincial “Women’s Entrepreneurship Day”, of which 78 ideas entered the final round and won prizes in the “Startup Idea Competition”. The Women’s Union at all levels in the province also introduced 44 ideas and projects to compete at the central level, of which 7 ideas won prizes. The provincial Women’s Union also organized activities to display women’s and local startup product booths to exchange, promote and consume products.
In the next phase, the Provincial Women's Union will continue to strengthen training and capacity building for Union officials as well as continue to promote propaganda activities to raise awareness among members about entrepreneurship, thereby encouraging them to be more bold in realizing business ideas, focusing on disadvantaged women.
Thereby, creating conditions for startup ideas to develop, establishing support funds or incubation programs for potential startup ideas to help members have the necessary resources and technical support in the early stages.
