To meet customers' needs, since the middle of the 11th lunar month, on average each week, the garden owner has imported 2-3 shipments to supply the market.
Among them, feng shui plants such as: money tree, money plant, money plant, big tree, white horse, camellia, azalea, poinsettia, night-blooming jasmine, primrose... are prioritized for import first to serve people in planting and caring for them at this time.

In addition to caring for and selling plants at the garden, this company also undertakes planting and caring for ornamental plants for many families, agencies and units, so the workload in the days before Tet is quite large.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Huy - Director of Viet Duc Ornamental Plants Company Limited (Ha Tinh City) shared: "Since the New Year until now, the number of customers coming to buy ornamental plants has increased. This year, the economic situation is forecast to be difficult, so we imported a moderate amount of goods to test the market. According to the plan, to serve the market of the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin, the company will import about 2 billion VND of ornamental plants, a 20% decrease compared to the 2023 Lunar New Year" .
Not only in urban areas, gardeners in rural areas have also proactively sourced goods to serve people to celebrate Tet and welcome spring. Since the beginning of November, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thao - owner of Dinh Quang garden (Cam Vinh commune, Cam Xuyen) has been to flower and ornamental plant gardens in Hung Yen, Da Lat, Dong Thap ... to choose and deposit goods, ensuring the supply of Tet market.
“We have deposited more than 600 million VND for goods, including more than 1,000 pots of chrysanthemums, 500 bougainvillea plants, 1,000 peach branches, 500 kumquat trees... From now until Tet, the gardeners will transport goods depending on the number of customers buying at each time. This year, the weather is favorable, with little rain, so the supply of ornamental plants to the market is quite abundant, and the prices are also cheaper than last year by 20,000 - 100,000 VND depending on the type,” said Ms. Nguyen Thi Thao - owner of Dinh Quang garden.
According to the assessment, this year, the economic situation is difficult, so people will tighten their spending during Tet. Therefore, the market for flowers and ornamental plants for Tet will also be less vibrant. Gardeners expect the amount of plants imported to serve the Tet market to decrease by about 20% compared to previous years.
