Not only UPCoM, HOSE also has many stocks with iced tea prices

Việt NamViệt Nam11/08/2024

Currently, the HOSE exchange has over 500 listed and traded securities (including stocks, fund certificates, warrants, etc.), many times more than the UPCoM and HNX exchanges. These are considered leading companies in their respective industries, and most of their stock prices are traded above par value (10,000 VND/share). However, many stocks are currently trading below 10,000 VND or even below 5,000 VND – a ridiculously low price. This is mostly due to the companies experiencing losses, violating regulations in the securities market, or being under warning or even control.

Không chỉ UPCoM, sàn HOSE cũng có nhiều cổ phiếu giá trà đá- Ảnh 1.

There are also many stocks with rock-bottom prices on the HOSE.

One example is AAT, a stock of Tien Son Thanh Hoa Group Joint Stock Company, currently priced at 3,470 VND, down 30% from the beginning of the year. This stock was placed under warning status from June 11th due to business losses in 2023 and a qualified audit opinion on the audited financial statements for 2023.

Shares of An Giang Import-Export Joint Stock Company (AGM) are currently priced at 3,110 VND, down 50% from the beginning of the year. Recently, since August 9th, AGM shares have been placed under control again due to negative equity in the latest financial report. The company has experienced continuous losses in 2022-2023, and its shares have been under control since the end of March. The sharp decline in business results follows AGM's involvement in a stock market manipulation case related to Louis Holdings, also known as the "Louis family" ecosystem, headed by Mr. Do Thanh Nhan – Chairman of the Board of Directors of Louis Holdings Joint Stock Company.

On the HOSE, there are also stocks with very low prices, not even enough to buy a glass of iced tea, such as DAG of Dong A Plastic Group Joint Stock Company, currently priced at only 1,670 VND. This stock plummeted after being placed under control by the HOSE due to information disclosure violations. Similarly, DLG of Duc Long Gia Lai Group Joint Stock Company is priced at 1,930 VND; HVX of Vicem Hai Van Cement Joint Stock Company is at 2,550 VND; TNI of Thanh Nam Group Joint Stock Company is at 2,400 VND…

A series of real estate stocks also extended their downward trend and fell below 5,000 VND, such as HAR of An Duong Thao Dien Real Estate Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company at 3,790 VND; HQC of Hoang Quan Real Estate Company at 3,490 VND; ITA of Tan Tao Investment and Industry Joint Stock Company down to 3,580 VND; LDG of LDG Investment Joint Stock Company plummeting to 1,950 VND; TDH of Thu Duc Housing Development Joint Stock Company currently at 2,960 VND; and DRH of DRH Holdings Joint Stock Company at 2,420 VND.

Most recently, two stocks, HBC of Hoa Binh Construction Group Joint Stock Company and HNG of Hoang Anh Gia Lai International Agriculture Joint Stock Company, also plummeted to below 5,000 VND after the HOSE announced mandatory delisting due to business losses. These were stocks that had previously been very expensive and bought by many investors…
