Proposal to handle 106 locations with inadequate infrastructure causing traffic accidents

From the beginning of the year to December 25, the Traffic Safety Committee of Hai Duong province has coordinated with sectors, units and localities to inspect infrastructure at 200 locations where traffic accidents occurred and 11 locations with inadequate traffic infrastructure according to recommendations from localities and units. Inspections are maintained regularly every month.

From the analysis and assessment at the scene, the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee has proposed to handle a total of 106 locations. Of which, it recommended that the Central Government direct the traffic route management unit to handle 28 locations; recommended that departments, branches and sectors handle 45 locations; recommended that the People's Committees at the district and commune levels handle 33 locations...

Most of the recommendations were handled and resolved. For example, after checking the location of the traffic accident on July 30 at km 27+200 of National Highway 38, which resulted in one death, the road markings were blurred, the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee proposed and BOT 38 Joint Stock Company repainted the blurred road markings. Similarly, at the bus stop area at km 44+745, National Highway 5 through Lai Cach town (Cam Giang), the damaged yellow flashing lights were also repaired and replaced, and reflective coatings were added to the waiting area island according to the recommendation...
