Timely repair of Ly Ly river dike break during flood

On the morning of October 28, Mr. Dinh Van Bao, Secretary of the Party Committee of Xuan Phu Commune (Da Nang), said that the authorities had promptly repaired the broken dike of Ly Ly River through Dong Tram Tay village.

At about 8:30 p.m. on October 27, immediately after discovering the Ly Ly river dike break through Dong Tram Tay village with a length of about 15 meters, the leaders of Xuan Phu commune mobilized the police, military , militia and civil defense forces to urgently cover the break with sandbags.

Authorities put sand in sacks to fix the broken dike of Ly Ly river.

After nearly 2 hours, the temporary repair work of the Ly Ly river dike break was completed, ensuring safety for households living inside the dike.

However, according to Mr. Dinh Van Bao, this solution is only temporary. In the long term, after the flood, Xuan Phu commune will make a recommendation to the leaders of Da Nang City to pay attention to supporting the construction of a strong embankment to avoid similar incidents.
