Signing of Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in investing in Thai Nguyen Province Data Center

On the morning of June 19, at the Provincial People's Committee, the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation on investment in the Thai Nguyen Provincial Data Center was signed between the Department of Science and Technology, KCTC Vietnam Co., Ltd. and ThePRECON Co., Ltd. (Korea).

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Provincial Party Secretary Trinh Viet Hung expressed his joy at welcoming Korean investors to Thai Nguyen. He also highlighted the potential, strengths and socio -economic development orientation of the province; suggesting businesses to propose project investment locations in the locality.

The Provincial Party Secretary affirmed that the province will create the most favorable conditions for enterprises in terms of administrative procedures, land funds, etc. to soon implement the project. The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation affirms the province's determination to attract investment in the fields of high technology and digital transformation, contributing to the implementation of sustainable development goals of Thai Nguyen in the coming time.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huy Dung affirmed: Investing in the Data Center is an important factor in developing digital infrastructure. With the investor's orientation, the Data Center has a minimum capacity of 20MW, Thai Nguyen commits to selling 3MW to the investor when the Center is completed. The provincial leaders have worked with 15 of the largest banks in Vietnam, many banks have committed to using the service when the Data Center is completed.

Mr. Yoon Dae Jung, CEO of ThePRECON Co., Ltd., thanked the leaders of Thai Nguyen province for their warm welcome; affirmed that this memorandum of understanding is an important milestone in the journey to realize the National Strategy on AI and the digital transformation vision of the Vietnamese Government.

Sharing about the large-scale Data Center Project in the center of Seoul - Gangnam district, Korea, Mr. Yoon Dae Jung affirmed that he will achieve outstanding achievements in Thai Nguyen, making practical contributions to the progress of becoming a typical AI and data center in Northern Vietnam. The total investment capital of the Data Center is about 200 million USD. This is the basis for global corporations to use services when investing in Data Centers in Thai Nguyen.

According to the signed content, Korean enterprises committed to consider investing in the construction of a Data Center with a minimum capacity of 20MW designed and operated according to international standards; committed to ensuring the implementation progress according to plan and prioritizing the use of local suppliers and human resources, in order to promote cooperation and contribute to the economic development of the province.
