Lam Dong cancels the lease of Thuy Ta restaurant for more than 151 billion VND

On December 13, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee issued a decision to cancel the auction results for leasing assets on land and land lease with annual payment, 10-year lease term for Thuy Ta restaurant in Ward 1, Da Lat City.

The reason given by Lam Dong province is that Mr. Doan Hai Ha (residing in Hanoi ) sent a document to the People's Committee of Da Lat city to notify that he would not invest in Thuy Ta restaurant.

Mr. Ha also requested to cancel the auction results previously issued by Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee and committed not to take back the deposit.

Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee assigned Da Lat City People's Committee to take full responsibility before the law for the honesty and objectivity of the content submitted for approval regarding the cancellation of the auction results.

The province also requested Da Lat City to handle the deposit money Mr. Doan Hai Ha made (originally converted from a deposit) in accordance with current law.

In addition, Da Lat City continues to select an asset auction organization to continue organizing the auction (second time) for Thuy Ta restaurant according to the approved auction organization plan.

Previously, Dan Tri newspaper reported that on October 30, the People's Committee of Da Lat City auctioned the Thuy Ta restaurant land with a starting price of more than 3 billion VND/year. After 63 bidding steps, Mr. Doan Hai Ha (residing in Hanoi) won the auction for the Thuy Ta restaurant area with a price of 15 billion VND/year, equivalent to more than 151 billion VND in 10 years.

Mr. Ha was required to pay all the land rent and property on the land at once. He also deposited more than 600 million VND to participate in the auction on October 30.

However, on November 21, Mr. Doan Hai Ha sent a notice not to invest because he was not allowed to change the restaurant's name.
