Leaders of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee recently had a working session with the Department of Education and Training on the implementation of tasks in 2025, received opinions on reports and proposals, and then directed to strengthen necessary conditions for the local education sector.
According to the report on the results of implementing tasks in the first 10 months of 2025 of the Department of Education and Training of Lang Son , the whole province currently has 647 educational institutions (of which 84 semi-boarding ethnic minority schools and 11 boarding ethnic minority schools are maintained), the scale of the school network is stable with a total of over 207 thousand children, pupils, students and more than 20 thousand managers, teachers and staff.
Lang Son Department of Education and Training has advised the province to issue many important mechanisms and policies, including resolutions to support the development of non-public preschool education; list and fee levels of educational support services; support for teachers to integrate students with disabilities; deploy education strategy to 2030, vision 2045; closely coordinate with departments and branches in implementing the 2-level local government model in the field of education.

In order to overcome practical difficulties, the Department of Education and Training of Lang Son has proposed that the Provincial People's Committee continue to pay attention to allocating sufficient educational expenditure norms according to current regulations; prioritize investment in renovating and repairing facilities, especially the system of boarding and semi-boarding schools for ethnic minorities; delegate authority to the Department in mobilizing and appointing educational management staff under the management of two or more commune-level administrative units; allow signing contracts to supplement the missing staff to ensure the teaching staff, meeting the implementation of the new educational program.
Ms. Tran Thanh Nhan, Vice Chairman of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee, acknowledged and commended the efforts of the local education sector; at the same time, requested the Department of Education and Training to continue to be proactive and strengthen coordination with other departments and branches to promptly remove difficulties and obstacles in practice.
The Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Lang Son province emphasized that the Department of Education and Training will continue to advise on the issuance of plans to implement tasks under the direction of the province; proactively review the need for investment in facilities, build a roadmap to increase the rate of schools meeting national standards according to the target by 2030; speed up the progress of purchasing teaching equipment; closely coordinate with relevant agencies to solve the shortage of teachers.
