Leaders of political parties and countries sent letters and telegrams of congratulations on the 50th anniversary of national reunification.

(Chinhphu.vn) - On the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), along with delegations of parties and countries attending the Anniversary, many leaders of political parties/countries sent congratulatory letters and telegrams to the Central Executive Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and leaders at all levels of Vietnam.

* The Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, the President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, the Government, the National Assembly and the Central Committee of the Lao Front for National Construction jointly sent congratulatory messages to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Government, the National Assembly and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

The content of the congratulatory message affirmed that the great victory of Spring 1975, culminating in the Ho Chi Minh Campaign, which was completely victorious on April 30, 1975, was an important event recorded in world history, a brilliant historical mark of the Communist Party of Vietnam. This victory was not only the victory of the Vietnamese army and people but also the common victory of the special solidarity and fighting alliance between Laos and Vietnam, as well as of the people of the three countries of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia; expressed impression and admiration for the great and historical achievements that Vietnam has achieved in the past time, contributing to the continuous enhancement of Vietnam's position in the region and internationally; believed that under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, headed by General Secretary To Lam, Vietnam will continue to achieve many new and greater achievements, successfully implement the Resolution of the 13th National Congress and successfully organize the 14th National Congress of the Party. The Lao Party, State and people are proud of the special, loyal and steadfast Laos-Vietnam solidarity that is increasingly developing, bringing practical benefits to the people of the two countries; and express deep gratitude to the fraternal Party, State and people of Vietnam for having given Laos great, valuable, effective and timely assistance up to now.

On this occasion, Lao Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone sent a congratulatory letter to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; Lao Foreign Minister Thongsavanh Phomvihane and Acting Head of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee's Foreign Affairs Commission Bunlua Phandanuvong sent congratulatory letters to Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son.

* President of the Cambodian People's Party Samdech Techo Hun Sen sent a congratulatory letter to General Secretary of the Party Central Committee To Lam; Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Hun Manet sent a congratulatory letter to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; President of the Cambodian National Assembly Khuon Sudary sent a congratulatory letter to National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man; Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Prak Sokhonn sent a congratulatory letter to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son.

In the Letter, the Cambodian Senior Leaders wrote: "The victory on April 30, 1975 is a proud page in history, a testament to the patriotism, solidarity, indomitable will, courage and sacrifice of the Party, army and people of Vietnam in the just cause of national liberation and unification; highly appreciate and express admiration for the achievements in national construction and development that the Party, State and People of Vietnam have achieved over the past 50 years and firmly believe that Vietnam will continue to achieve new achievements and move steadily towards the goal of industrialization and modernization by 2030; the Cambodia-Vietnam relationship is bound by the strong traditional friendship and close cooperation in all fields, the mutual support and assistance between the Parties, States and people of the two countries, and affirm the commitment to continue promoting, preserving and developing this good cooperative relationship to a new height in the spirit of good neighborliness and traditional friendship. "Comprehensive, long-term and sustainable cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia".

* The Communist Party of India sent a congratulatory letter to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam. On this occasion, Indian Minister of External Affairs S. Jaishankar sent a congratulatory letter to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son.

* Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand Paetongtarn Shinawatra sent a congratulatory message to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh. In the message, the Thai Prime Minister expressed his appreciation for the friendly and close neighborly relations between the two countries, affirming his determination to join hands in cooperation with Vietnam to elevate the bilateral relationship to a new height.

On this occasion, Thai Foreign Minister Maris Sangiampongsa sent a congratulatory message to Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son.
