At the destinations, Vice Chairwoman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi acknowledged the proactive and responsible spirit of the medical staff who promptly moved equipment, preserved medicine, maintained medical examination and treatment activities and provided first aid in the prolonged heavy rain.

After surveying the current status of facilities, power supply systems, water supply systems and storage areas for medicines, medical supplies, etc.; the Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee requested units to continue to review, count the damage and have plans to promptly overcome and repair after the flood passes.

At the same time, focus on disinfection, prevention and control of post-flood diseases such as dengue fever, intestinal and dermatological diseases.

The City People's Committee assigned the Department of Health to coordinate with local authorities to strengthen propaganda and guide people on environmental sanitation, treatment of domestic water sources, and ensuring public health.

According to the report of Hoi An Ward People's Committee, after the big flood in recent days, Duy Phuoc Bridge (Ba Ngan Bridge) located on National Highway 14H in Hoi An Ward and Nam Phuoc Commune had its bridge pier on the Hoi An side washed away, causing one bridge span to collapse.

The embankment system, access roads and lighting system on the Hoi An side were eroded, collapsed, broken and seriously damaged.

In addition, at the foot of Duy Phuoc bridge (Hoi An side), due to the strong water flow from upstream, the rapid water flow caused landslides, sweeping away sand and soil at Go Mo beach. The concrete road system in Go Mo field was broken and seriously damaged.

Currently, Hoi An ward has organized barriers and placed warning signs prohibiting vehicles from passing through Duy Phuoc bridge (Ba Ngan bridge), National Highway 14H (from Cam Kim bridge to Ba Ngan bridge) as well as Go Mo concrete road.

Meanwhile, Cam Kim iron bridge, an important traffic route connecting Cam Kim commune (old) through Hoi An ancient town, is also seriously degrading, with landslides and damaged bridge abutments.

After inspecting Ba Ngan Bridge and Cam Kim Iron Bridge, Vice Chairwoman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi requested the locality to continue implementing warning measures, absolutely not allowing people and vehicles to pass through dangerous areas.

In particular, Duy Phuoc bridge (Ba Ngan bridge) has a particularly important position in linking, connecting traffic and developing socio -economy in Nam Phuoc commune, Hoi An ward in particular and Da Nang city in general.

Vice Chairwoman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi requested relevant departments and branches to promptly invest in urgent repairs of the bridge and approach road (Hoi An side) to serve the travel needs of the people.

At the same time, it is requested that the Quang Nam Traffic Works Project Management Board promptly deploy urgent investment in the construction of Duy Phuoc Bridge under the project to complete coastal road 129 (Vo Chi Cong).

Regarding the Cam Kim iron bridge, Vice Chairwoman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi assigned specialized units to urgently assess the extent of damage, propose temporary reinforcement plans and establish new investment procedures to ensure long-term safety for people's travel.
