Provincial leaders visit Buddhist establishments and dignitaries on the occasion of the Giap Thin New Year

On the afternoon of January 30, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dao My and leaders of the Department of Home Affairs visited Buddhist religious establishments and wished dignitaries and followers a happy New Year 2024.

The delegation visited and wished a happy new year to Most Venerable Thich Tam Thuy, Standing Member of the Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Standing Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Phu Yen Province, abbot of Huong Son Pagoda (Phu Hoa District); visited and wished a happy new year to Most Venerable Thich Nguyen Minh, Member of the Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Phu Yen Province, abbot of An Quang Pagoda (Dong Hoa Town).

At the places visited, on behalf of the provincial leaders, Comrade Dao My informed the dignitaries about the socio -economic situation of the province in the past year, and emphasized that in the past time, religious activities in the province were carried out in accordance with regulations. The freedom of belief and religion of the people was guaranteed, creating trust and consensus among dignitaries and followers to promote the spirit of great national unity, living a good life and following good religion.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dao My respectfully thanked and acknowledged the contributions of the dignitaries and fellow Buddhists to the overall development of the province. On the occasion of the New Year of the Dragon, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee wished the Buddhist dignitaries and all fellow Buddhists in the area a new year of peace and prosperity, continuing to join hands and unite, with the government and people of all walks of life of the province to focus on socio-economic development, improving people's lives.
