VFF leaders visit to encourage midfielder Van Truong before the U.23 Vietnam team's debut

On the morning of December 3, VFF Vice President Nguyen Xuan Vu and VFF General Secretary Nguyen Van Phu went to the Hanoi Club's training center to visit midfielder Nguyen Van Truong, who is being treated for an injury after surgery.

U.23 Vietnam star Van Truong is recovering well

On behalf of the Standing Committee of the VFF Executive Committee, Vice President Nguyen Xuan Vu sent words of encouragement, asked about the health and encouraged U.23 Vietnam player Van Truong to stay optimistic and make efforts to recover.

VFF leaders affirmed that they will continue to accompany Hanoi Club to create the best conditions for player Nguyen Van Truong to recover soon and return to the field, continuing to contribute to Vietnamese football.

General Secretary Nguyen Van Phu conveyed the regards of VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan to the player, and discussed with doctors and specialists about Van Truong's recovery process.

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Van Phu encouraged Van Truong to feel secure in his treatment and follow the doctor's treatment regimen to achieve the best results.

Representative of Hanoi Club, Executive Director Le Trong Thuy thanked VFF for its attention to Van Truong. The club will closely coordinate with VFF functional departments to create the best conditions for the young midfielder to recover and soon return to the field.

Nguyen Van Truong, born in 2003, was injured in the match between U.23 Vietnam and U.23 Korea at the Panda Cup 2025 friendly tournament (China), after colliding with his opponent in an unfavorable position, leading to an unfortunate ligament injury.

Upon returning to Vietnam, he was examined by a team of specialized doctors and successfully underwent anterior cruciate ligament surgery. He is currently undergoing active treatment and remains optimistic during his recovery.

Hopefully, Nguyen Van Truong will soon return stronger, continuing to contribute to the national teams and Vietnamese football. Previously, this player with a strong playing style sent his wishes for the U.23 Vietnam team to achieve the best results at the 33rd SEA Games and the 2026 AFC U.23 Championship.
