Pham Thi Thu confessed that the 3,000 foreign currency notes discovered and seized were Chinese currency, the face value of the notes was 100 yuan, the total amount of money seized was 300,000 yuan. Pham Thi Thu was hired to transport a man from Duyen Hai ward, Lao Cai city, to China for 300,000 Vietnamese Dong.

After receiving the foreign currency for hire, Thu called 3 more women, divided the foreign currency among 4 people, then used the passport to exit to China without declaring to Customs. The subjects hid the money in the soles of their shoes and handbags. When passing through the exit lane of Lao Cai International Border Gate, they were discovered and arrested by the Border Guard working group.

Lao Cai International Border Guard Station has drawn up a record of the arrest of Pham Thi Thu, Nguyen Thi Thu Trang, Dinh Thi Lan, Dinh Thi Mo; temporarily detained and sealed evidence according to the law and organized an investigation according to the law.
