Lao Cai meets with and encourages athletes participating in the SEA Games.

CTTĐT - On December 9, 2025, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lao Cai province organized a meeting to encourage the province's athletes who were summoned to participate in the Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games).

Attending the meeting were Mr. Nguyen Thai Hoa - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lao Cai province; Mr. Nguyen Anh Minh - Deputy Director of the National Center for Training of High-Level Athletes; leaders of the Department of Sports Management (Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism) and the Sports Training and Competition Center of Lao Cai province.

Leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lao Cai province took souvenir photos with typical athletes of the province before leaving for the 33rd SEA Games.

Lao Cai province has 4 athletes participating in this SEA Games , including: Chao Ong Lu Phim (Cycling), Dam Duc Manh (Handball), Quang Thi Tam and Hoang Kim Lua (Weightlifting). These are all typical athletes of Lao Cai sports, confirmed through many achievements in national and regional tournaments. Being selected to participate in the SEA Games demonstrates the professional capacity and serious training process of the athletes, and is also the basis for expecting the athletes to compete excellently at the SEA Games, contributing to raising the position of Lao Cai sports in the regional arena.

Mr. Nguyen Thai Hoa - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, delivered a speech to encourage and motivate the athletes before their departure for the competition.

Speaking at the meeting, the leaders of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism acknowledged and praised the spirit of training efforts and determination of the athletes and coaching staff; at the same time expressed their belief that the athletes will maintain their competitive spirit, promote their best performance, strive for high achievements, contributing to bringing glory to the Fatherland and Lao Cai homeland.

The meeting is a practical activity to encourage and motivate athletes before the competition day, and at the same time shows Lao Cai province's deep concern for the development of high-performance sports in the current period./.
