Taking people as the center and subject of the emulation movement

In his opening speech, Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee Tran Tri Quang emphasized that in the 2025-2030 period, Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee will continue to thoroughly grasp and widely propagate President Ho Chi Minh's thoughts on patriotic emulation, the Party's guidelines, and the State's policies and laws on emulation and rewards. Leaders of agencies, units, and localities need to build and launch emulation movements that must be effective, practical, avoid formalities, be broad and cover all areas of social life, all classes of people, economic sectors, agencies, organizations, and units, in which the people are the center and the subject of the emulation movement.

In order for the emulation and patriotism movement to develop, the province continues to consolidate the organization and apparatus, innovate, improve the quality of activities, promptly complete the Emulation and Reward Councils at all levels; implement the division of emulation clusters and blocks to ensure suitability, science , practicality and efficiency. The province issues guidelines and directs the implementation of emulation cluster and block activities according to the instructions of the central ministries and branches; completes the specialized apparatus for emulation and reward work and personnel for emulation and reward work from the province to the grassroots level, ensuring consistency, compliance with the orientation and regulations of the central government.

In the period of 2020 - 2025, Dong Thap's patriotic emulation movement achieved many breakthrough results, contributing significantly to promoting economic growth, stabilizing society, and improving people's lives.

Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Dong Thap province Nguyen Van Vu Minh informed that the province has carried out many emulation movements such as "The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas", restructuring the agricultural sector, developing the rural economy, and the urbanization process has gone into depth and efficiency. The emulation movement "For the poor - No one is left behind" has timely supported each group of poor people, with solutions to support sustainable poverty reduction. Movements such as joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025, promoting the development of synchronous and modern infrastructure, practicing thrift, fighting waste, popularizing digital education... have comprehensively promoted the socio-economic development of Dong Thap province.

During this period, the province was awarded 212 Labor Medals of various ranks by the President, 68 emulation flags and 1,151 certificates of merit by the Prime Minister. The Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee awarded 458 emulation flags; 22,836 excellent labor collectives; 42,092 certificates of merit; and 451 provincial-level emulation fighters.

In addition, heads of agencies, units and localities presented many certificates of merit to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in performing tasks, implementing emulation movements and social security work.
