The 2024 hot air balloon festival with the theme "Heritage City - Colors of Ha Long" will be held on September 1 and 2 this year, in Ha Long City. This is one of the activities to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Ha Long Bay becoming a World Natural Heritage (1994-2024).
October 30 Square located on the shore of Ha Long Bay is the venue for the hot air balloon festival on September 2 this year.
The festival has main activities including: Hot air balloon flying; hot air balloon sightseeing; hot air balloon lantern night; hot air balloons decorating the ground.
Specifically, at 7am on September 1, Ha Long City will open the festival; from 7am to 9am and after 4:30pm every day, hot air balloon flights will be organized.
Ha Long City will issue free hanging tickets (or cards) to control the number of visitors. The venue is at 30/10 Square and Ocean Park Beach.
For sightseeing activities inside the hot air balloon, it will take place at 30/10 Square from 7:30-9:30 and from 15:30 every day. Ha Long City will also issue free sightseeing tickets (or cards) to control the number of visitors.
The hot air balloon lantern night will be held from 7:30 p.m. on September 2, 2024 at October 30 Square.
The ground decoration balloon will take place on September 1 and 2, 2024 at October 30 Square.
Along with the Hot Air Balloon Festival, there will be a supplementary activity of paragliding. The flight route from Bai Chay will fly over Cua Luc Bay to October 30 Square and vice versa.
