Flag-raising ceremony on Co To Island to celebrate 50 years of national reunification

PLVN - On the morning of April 30, a flag-raising ceremony was solemnly held at the outpost island of Co To (Quang Ninh province). This is an event of profound political and historical significance, demonstrating patriotism, national pride and affirming the sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland's sea and islands.

The red flag with yellow star was raised to the top of the flagpole to the heroic sound of the National Anthem, echoing between the Northeast sea and sky, making the atmosphere of the ceremony more emotional and sacred than ever.

Today's flag-raising ceremony is an activity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and the reunification of the country, and at the same time serves as a reminder to today's and future generations of the value of independence and freedom - the result of the blood and sacrifice of our predecessors.

Ms. Le Ngoc Han, Member of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Co To district attended the ceremony.

Along with the flag-raising activity, Co To Island also organized many cultural, artistic, sports and gratitude activities for heroic martyrs, contributing to creating a vibrant, heroic atmosphere imbued with national identity on this important occasion.

The flag-raising ceremony on Co To island is not only an affirmation of national sovereignty but also demonstrates the spirit of solidarity, aspiration for peace and sustainable development of the Vietnamese people in the new era.
