"Lights on" at North-South expressway intersections through Ha Tinh

(Baohatinh.vn) - 6 intersections and several large bridges on the North-South Expressway through Ha Tinh are urgently completing lighting systems to ensure traffic flow from April 28.

These days, groups of workers and machines of MDC Group Corporation are rushing to complete the installation of the lighting system at the intersection of Km509+825 of the North-South Expressway, Bai Vot - Ham Nghi section with Provincial Road 550 in Luu Vinh Son Commune, Thach Ha District, Ha Tinh Province.

The expressway interchange with Provincial Road 550 in Luu Vinh Son Commune, Thach Ha District is one of six expressway interchanges in Ha Tinh. This is considered an important interchange on the expressway through the province because when put into operation, the interchange will connect with Ha Tinh City, Thach Ha District and neighboring localities.



Ha Tinh is currently experiencing widespread heat with outdoor temperatures reaching nearly 38 degrees Celsius, making workers work extremely hard and exhausted. However, with the determination to soon complete the electrical system, ensuring safe traffic for vehicles entering and exiting the highway, the contractor is focusing on speeding up the progress.



Equipment has been assembled at the construction site waiting for workers to install.

The power cable system at the highway intersection is underground.

As of the afternoon of April 24, the installation of the lighting system at the intersection of the expressway with Provincial Road 550 in Luu Vinh Son commune, Thach Ha district, Ha Tinh province had completed 90% of the work.



After completing the installation, the contractor will hand over to the Thang Long Project Management Board - the investor of the Bai Vot - Ham Nghi expressway project. This unit will then work with the electricity company on the electricity purchase contract to serve the lighting at the intersection.

The North-South Expressway interchange with Provincial Road 550 in Luu Vinh Son Commune, Thach Ha District, Ha Tinh Province is gradually being completed.

Meanwhile, at the intersection of National Highway 8 - the connecting point between Dien Chau - Bai Vot Expressway and Bai Vot - Ham Nghi Expressway, through Thanh Binh Thinh Commune, Duc Tho District, Ha Tinh Province, a lighting system has also been installed.

Currently, the lighting system at the intersection of National Highway 8 has been completed and put into trial operation.

The installed lighting system helps ensure safety for people and vehicles traveling on the highway at night and at dawn.

Up to this point, the North-South expressway intersection, Ham Nghi - Vung Ang section with National Highway 12C in Ky Tan commune, Ky Anh district, Ha Tinh province, has basically completed construction.

The installation of the lighting system at this intersection has also been completed.

The expressway intersection with National Highway 12C in Ky Tan commune, Ky Anh district, Ha Tinh province will be ready for traffic when the expressway opens to traffic from Duc Tho to Ky Anh from April 28.

According to Ha Tinh Newspaper, the lighting system has been invested and installed at 6 intersections of the expressway in Ha Tinh. This ensures safety for vehicles traveling at night and at dawn.

Up to now, the installation of lighting systems at 6 highway intersections in Ha Tinh has been basically completed.

Along with that, some large bridges on the route will also be installed with lighting, including Thach Vinh bridge over provincial road 550 in Luu Vinh Son commune, Thach Ha district.

The lighting system at Thach Vinh bridge will "follow" the power line system of the highway intersection with Provincial Road 550.

The North-South Eastern Expressway through Ha Tinh has a total length of 107.28km and is being implemented with 4 component projects in 2 phases 2017-2020 (Dien Chau - Bai Vot Expressway, section through Ha Tinh, 4.9km long) and 2021-2025 (Bai Vot - Ham Nghi, Ham Nghi - Vung Ang, Vung Ang - Bung, 102.38km long).

According to the approved design documents, the expressway through Ha Tinh is arranged with 6 interchanges connecting with local roads.

These intersections are at Km479+394 with National Highway 8 in Thanh Binh Thinh Commune, Duc Tho District; Km494+548 with Provincial Road 548 in the old Trung Loc Commune, now Dong Loc Town, Can Loc District; Km509+825 with Provincial Road DT.550 in Luu Vinh Son Commune, Thach Ha District; Km527+580 connecting with National Highway 1 via the connecting route in Cam Quan Commune, Cam Xuyen District; Km555+509 in Ky Trung Commune, Ky Anh District and Km568+126 with National Highway 12C in Ky Tan Commune, Ky Anh District.
