Ho Chi Minh City Short Film Festival opens on the evening of October 27

The judging criteria of this festival is to prioritize films with themes of Ho Chi Minh City, history and revolutionary traditions, Covid-19 prevention work, etc. that are creative, humane and national. The maximum length is 15 minutes (for documentaries), 10 minutes (animations) and 45 minutes (feature films). The Ho Chi Minh City Short Film Festival is oriented to be a professional film event held every two years.

The final round jury (9 members) will judge the films on October 24-25 to select the works worthy of the Golden Bee Award for the best film. The Organizing Committee will award 1 A prize, 1 B prize, 3 C prizes and 3 additional prizes for each category of feature film, documentary film, animation film. The creative award will include prizes for: Director, scriptwriter, design, music , best main and supporting actor/actress. The winning film will be supported to participate in at least one international film festival in the region or in the world.
