Travel + Leisure magazine has announced its list of the best city hotels and resorts in Asia for 2024, which includes two hotels and one resort from Vietnam.

An American magazine suggests that travelers could spend their entire vacation in Asia — a vast continent spanning over 17 million square miles, with 48 countries and so much to explore . It boasts beaches on remote islands, cozy little restaurants alongside Michelin-starred establishments, ruins of lost civilizations, and fantastic hotels to visit. Asia is a wonderful destination in both its classic and modern aspects.

In the top 25 best resorts in Asia as voted by Travel + Leisure readers, ALMA Resort (Cam Ranh) ranked second. It is also the only representative from Vietnam to make the list of top resorts in Asia, with 99.20 points. Leading the list is Oberoi Rajvilas Hotel, Jaipur (India) with 99.79 points.

The resort boasts a range of luxurious restaurants, a mini water park, a cinema, an outdoor theater, a golf course, a sports center, a children's play area, bars, and more. Furthermore, it features nearly 600 beachfront apartments and villas offering breathtaking views of Bai Dai Beach. This resort is a popular choice for celebrities and international tourists visiting Khanh Hoa.

Additionally, this resort also topped the list of the 5 best resorts in Southeast Asia as voted by Travel + Leisure readers.

In the category of the 20 best city hotels as voted by global readers, two Vietnamese hotels, Capella Hanoi and Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi, tied for 19th place with 96.60 points.

Located on Ngo Quyen Street (Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi), Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi is a 5-star hotel that has stood in the capital for hundreds of years. Completed in 1901, the hotel comprises 364 rooms decorated in a blend of classic French architecture and unique Eastern motifs.

Leading the list is the Park Hyatt Siem Reap hotel (Cambodia) with 99.40/100 points. In addition, the top 20 best city hotels also include: Regent Hong Kong (China), Rosewood Phnom Penh (Cambodia), Regent Beijing (China)...

Each year, in its World's Best Awards survey, Travel + Leisure asks readers to rate travel experiences around the globe, sharing their opinions on top hotels, resorts, cities, islands, cruise ships, spas, airlines, and more.

Over 186,000 readers completed the 2024 survey, with more than 700,000 votes cast across over 8,700 accommodations (hotels, cities, cruise lines, etc.). Hotels were categorized as resort hotels, city hotels, hostels, or safari lodges based on location and amenities, and were specifically rated according to criteria such as: Rooms/Amenities, Location, Service, Food, and Value.

For each characteristic, respondents can choose to rate it as excellent, above average, average, below average, or poor. The final score is the average of these ratings.
