Comrade Duong Hoang Sum, Provincial Party Committee member and Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vinh Long province, said: This is the first non-governmental museum in the province, displaying more than 400 images and artifacts related to the history of the formation and development of the wax coconut tree, a crop with high economic value that has helped many local households escape poverty sustainably. The museum has made many efforts in collecting, displaying, promoting, and introducing these artifacts to visitors.
This is the right direction, consistent with the goal of preserving culture and developing sustainable tourism. In the future, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will continue to work alongside and support the connection of resources and gradually make activities related to wax coconut a distinctive specialty of local tourism.
