The club have included Jack Grealish and John Stones on their list of players to be sold this summer, after Pep Guardiola asked for a slimmer squad to work with.

The Spanish coach is looking to reform after a rare trophyless season, with poor form leaving them behind in the Premier League title race.

Man City proved their seriousness by signing four quality new players: Tijjani Reijnders, Ryan Cherky, Rayan Ait-Nouri and Marcus Bettinelli.

But Pep also complained about the surplus of players in the squad, so he needed to liquidate names that were no longer in his long-term plans.

Most recently, veteran Kyle Walker moved to Burnley with a contract worth 5 million pounds.

According to The Athletic, in addition to John Stones and Jack Grealish, Man City is also selling Mateo Kovacic, Ilkay Gundogan, James McAtee and Oscar Bobb.
