(Dan Tri) - Sun Wukong leads his divine soldiers to fight against monsters in the classic play "Tu Chau Thanh" at the closing night of the Hue International Arts Festival 2024, leaving the audience amazed and delighted.
On the evening of June 12, at Kien Trung Palace stage (Hue Imperial City), the program Ve Hue Festival took place, closing the Hue International Arts Festival Week 2024 (Photo: Dinh Hoang). As usual, before the official program begins, the Organizing Committee allows the audience to come and enjoy a live "party" of sound and light with 3D mapping technology projected on Kien Trung Palace. According to the Organizing Committee, the Ve Hue Festival art program is a place where the colors of heritage converge. Representatives of cultural quintessence from many countries around the world and regions of Vietnam "treat" the audience to a grand, yet gentle, and nostalgic art feast against the backdrop of beautiful fireworks. Participating in the closing night, China's Zhejiang Opera Troupe (with a history of 500 years) brought the opera Sizhou Cheng . Sizhou Cheng is a classic play, telling the story of a female demon occupying Sizhou, causing many storms. Sun Wukong led his divine soldiers and generals to fight the demon, and finally subdued the female demon. The skillful and smooth juggling and spear kicking performance of the artists from China received continuous applause from the audience watching live. The SaeNyuk Folk Art Troupe (Korea) also amazed the audience with a performance combining the folk song Arirang with the sounds of traditional instruments and Pansori performance. This is a traditional Korean performing music form that has been recognized by UNESCO as an intangible world heritage. The space of gong culture of the Central Highlands attended the festival in the ancient capital of Hue. The Kon Tum art troupe brought to the audience the majestic epic of the great forest of Vietnam. The echoes of gongs and cymbals expressed the joys and sorrows and aspirations of life, work and daily activities of the Central Highlands people. The stage at Hue heritage site became lively and magical with the hiphop performance of young people. The audience was delighted and excited with the combination of actors from the Vietnam Circus Federation. Along with the unique art programs taking place throughout the week, the closing night contributed to creating the soul of Hue Festival in a cultural area imbued with the traditional identity of Vietnam. The International Art Festival Week ended to begin a series of art events in the Autumn and Winter festivals, demonstrating the consistent and continuous spirit of Hue Festival 2024.
