On April 25, the People's Committee of Kon Plong district ( Kon Tum province) said that many accommodation establishments in the area have announced that they are "fully booked" early, so tourists who book rooms late have almost no choice but to stay in Mang Den town.

According to statistics from local authorities, room occupancy rates at hotels and homestays during the holidays have reached over 90%, with some places even being fully booked for many days.

Mang Den is considered the “miniature Da Lat” of the Central Highlands, emerging as an ideal destination for tourists who want to escape the hot sun of the lowlands. Located at an altitude of about 1,200 meters, surrounded by pine forests and cool lakes and streams, this town has a fresh, cool climate all year round.

Not just a resort, Mang Den this year brings a series of unique cultural and artistic activities. With the market food festival, where delicious rustic dishes are served for only 15,000 VND/meal, it has become the center of attraction for visitors.

In addition, gong performances, campfires, and free jar wine tasting at the night market create a vibrant yet indigenous atmosphere.

Local people perform gongs and xoang dances by the campfire – a unique cultural feature of the Xo Dang people in Mang Den Night Economic Zone.

Besides the lyrical natural landscape, Mang Den also bears the cultural imprint of the Xo Dang community that has long lived here. Tourists can visit community tourism villages such as Kon Bring, Kon Pring to experience traditional festivals, admire communal houses and enjoy specialties such as grilled chicken and bamboo rice, sturgeon hotpot, wild sim wine...

Mr. Dang Quang Ha - Chairman of Kon Plong District People's Committee said that in fact, the situation of "room shortage" during long holidays is no longer a rare thing in Mang Den. With about 1,200 current rooms, the locality is still making efforts to expand more forms of community accommodation to meet the increasing demand.

According to Mr. Ha, this year’s long holiday has caused a sudden increase in the number of visitors to Mang Den, with many accommodation establishments currently reaching 80-90% capacity. In addition, the local government will also actively coordinate with functional forces to ensure traffic, control prices and create the best conditions for tourists.
