Quang Nam Front promotes its role in participating in cadre building

Nearly 80% of petitions are resolved

First deployed in 2021, up to now, monitoring activities related to personnel work and cadres, party members of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, socio -political organizations in the province have become routine.

According to statistics from the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, nearly 80% of the recommendations after supervision have been received, resolved and responded to in writing by the Party Committee and authorities at the same level. The opinions and recommendations that have not been resolved or responded to are mainly due to complicated content, related to the amendment and supplementation of mechanisms and policies under the authority of the Central Government.

However, according to the analysis of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Provincial Committee, the monitoring activities for the above content are still quite modest.

Specifically, in the period of 2019 - 2024, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels of the province supervised 211 meetings related to cadre work and cadres and party members; accounting for 8.6% of 2,451 monitoring meetings. For socio-political organizations at all levels, the number of monitoring meetings with the same content is very small, only 37/5,801 thematic monitoring meetings were organized according to their authority (accounting for 0.64%).

In Thang Binh, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district and commune has supervised the cultivation, training of ethics, lifestyle, and exemplary responsibility of leaders, key officials, cadres and party members according to Regulation 124 dated February 2, 2018 of the Secretariat.

Accordingly, at the district level, supervised 8 key commune-level officials in implementing legal regulations on receiving citizens, handling complaints and denunciations; supervised the response to voters' petitions to the chairmen of the People's Committees of 22 communes and towns and the heads of 9 departments, offices, and leaders of the district People's Committee...

The commune level has carried out 31 supervisions according to Regulation 124; supervised 359 cadres and party members according to Regulation 213 dated January 2, 2020 of the Politburo on the responsibility of party members who are working regularly to maintain contact with the party organization and the people where they reside. In addition, the two-level Front also supervises through suggestion boxes.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thang Binh district said that in 2021, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district installed suggestion boxes at the headquarters of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district; at the Department of receiving and returning results of the District People's Committee; People's Committees of 22 communes and towns and installed in 106 cultural activity houses of villages/blocks.

Every month, the District Front checks the mailbox once to receive people's feedback and recommendations on the moral training and lifestyle of leaders, key officials, cadres and party members.

“Through monitoring activities, the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and the people's mastery in participating in Party building and building a clean and strong political system have been promoted; contributing to the successful implementation of the district's common political goals and tasks,” Mr. Phong shared.

Creating power in monitoring

Regarding the effectiveness of supervision, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Phi Hung acknowledged that through the results of the implementation of supervision work in general and supervision of cadres, cadres and party members in particular, there have been many changes.

Accordingly, the awareness of Party committees, Party organizations and authorities at all levels about the important role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels and socio-political organizations in promoting people's mastery in participating in building and rectifying the Party and the political system is increasingly stronger.

With the recognized limitations, according to Mr. Hung, Party committees and organizations at all levels should strengthen leadership, direction, dissemination, inspection and supervision of the implementation of Party regulations on the supervisory role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, socio-political organizations and people in personnel work and cadres and Party members in accordance with Directive No. 37 dated January 18, 2023 of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee.

Enhance the responsibility of leaders, cadres and Party members in implementing Party regulations, promoting the responsibility of setting an example, listening to and absorbing feedback and recommendations from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, socio-political organizations and people on Party building, government building...

At the scientific workshop "Building a contingent of cadres in Quang Nam province to meet the requirements of the new situation", former Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Sy analyzed the current situation of the province's cadres and said that it is necessary to further strengthen leadership, inspection and supervision of cadre work.

According to Mr. Sy, supervising the work of cadres is difficult, so it is necessary to strengthen the coordination and combination between the supervision activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations with the inspection activities of Party committees at all levels, inspections of state agencies, and supervision activities of the Standing Committee of the People's Council and the committees of the People's Councils at all levels.

From there, it will contribute to making the monitoring activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations effective, mobilizing agencies, organizations and people to participate, creating strength in monitoring.

“The strength of the Party lies in its close and flesh-and-blood ties with the people. We must truly rely on the people to build the Party and build the cadre team of the province. The people's eyes and ears are very thorough; if you ask the people in the residential areas about the cadres and party members, they will know,” said former Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Sy.
