Regarding the incident that occurred with the Mercedes-Benz car owned by Mr. Duy Manh, after a dispute arose over the cause and warranty responsibility, Mr. Duy Manh filed a lawsuit at the People's Court of Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City, requesting MBV and a distributor to compensate for damages.

Previously, in August 2024, he also withdrew the lawsuit related to the same incident with the distributor.

According to information from the Court, on the morning of May 21, 2025, Mr. Duy Manh officially withdrew the lawsuit against MBV after a long time pursuing the case. The withdrawal took place right before the court opened the trial, ending the entire related litigation process.

MBV said it handled the incident with a high sense of responsibility, transparency and compliance with legal procedures. The appraisal results from Mercedes-Benz AG (Germany) and the insurance company both confirmed that the incident did not originate from a technical defect of the product, but from an external factor.

On that basis, the insurance company has fully compensated the customer for the damage in accordance with the regulations and terms of the contract. At the same time, the results of this assessment also coincide with the conclusion of the Institute of Criminal Science - Ministry of Public Security , helping to clarify the root cause of the incident.

MBV expressed its desire to clearly present technical analysis at the trial so that the public and related parties can have a more complete and objective view. However, with the plaintiff withdrawing the petition, MBV affirmed that it will continue to provide transparent information to protect its brand reputation.

“As a German enterprise accompanying Vietnamese customers for many generations, MBV always respects objective truth, the law and is steadfast in the principles of Mercedes-Benz for more than a hundred years. We do not choose to compromise with things that are not right,” the MBV representative emphasized./.
