The sixth-generation luxury sedan features a redesigned body, increased dimensions, enhanced technology, and an additional plug-in hybrid powertrain option.
The 2024 E-class 's new design is an evolution from its predecessor, incorporating styling elements from the S-class and EQE – notably the redesigned grille (with optional backlighting) and gloss black trim. The LED headlights and taillights are slimmer. The taillights feature a new star-shaped pattern, inspired by the brand logo.
The 2024 E-Class optimizes drag coefficient for improved aerodynamics, with 17-21 inch wheel options. The new mid-size sedan features hidden door handles and an active grille that can close to reduce drag when cooling requirements are reduced. Rear-wheel steering is 4.5 degrees at speeds below 60 km/h and 2.5 degrees above 60 km/h. It also features an Airmatic air suspension system with continuously adjustable dampers.
The interior of the new E-class inherits design elements from the EQS and S-class. A large central screen supports the latest MBUX infotainment system. Two smaller screens are located on either side, one for the passenger seat and one behind the steering wheel. The new E-class prioritizes software over hardware, offering more entertainment features such as Angry Birds, Webex or Zoom conferencing applications, the Vivaldi browser, and the TikTok video platform.
