Sunny in the North, heavy rain in the Central and South

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, from today (September 1) to tomorrow, the Southern Central Highlands and the Southeast region will have moderate rain, heavy rain, some places will have very heavy rain and scattered thunderstorms with rainfall from 40-100mm, some places over 150mm.

At the same time, the Northern Central Highlands and the Southwest also had heavy rain, but the amount was lower, with 20-50mm, some places over 80mm. In these areas, the rain was concentrated in the afternoon and at night.

In addition, this afternoon and evening, the area from Quang Ngai to Binh Thuan will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally with moderate to heavy rain with rainfall of 10-20mm, some places over 50mm.

Thunderstorms and localized heavy rain in the South Central, Central Highlands and Southern regions are likely to continue for many days to come.

During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind. Localized heavy rain can cause flooding in low-lying areas and the risk of flash floods and landslides in mountainous areas.

In the Central region, there will be intermittent sunshine during the day, scattered showers and thunderstorms in the late afternoon and evening, locally heavy rain; showers and thunderstorms in some places at night.

Da Nang to Binh Thuan

Cloudy, scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places, scattered showers and thunderstorms in the evening and at night, locally moderate to heavy rain. Light wind in the North, southwest wind level 2-3 in the South. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

Lowest temperature: 25-28 degrees. Highest temperature: 31-34 degrees.

Central Highlands

Cloudy, with showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and at night, locally heavy rain; in the South there will be moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, some places will have very heavy rain. Southwest wind level 2-3. During thunderstorms there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.
