On August 13, information from the People's Committee of Dien Bien province said that it had recognized Tua Chua Market, located at Thong Nhat residential group, Tua Chua town, Tua Chua district, as a tourist destination.
Specifically, in Decision No. 1410/QD-UBND, the People's Committee of Dien Bien province recognized Tua Chua Market as a tourist destination; assigned the People's Committee of Tua Chua town to be responsible for organizing the management, exploitation and development of the tourist destination in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Tourism.
Also on August 13, the People's Committee of Dien Bien province issued Decision No. 1408/QD-UBND recognizing "Chua Po Cave" in Lao Xa Phinh commune, Tua Chua district, as officially ranked as a provincial-level scenic relic. This relic will be zoned for protection under the Law on Cultural Heritage.
According to the assessment of the Dien Bien provincial tourism industry, Tua Chua is a mountainous district endowed by nature with a fresh, cool climate all year round, and wild, majestic natural landscapes. Tua Chua tourism is likened to a mountain girl sleeping in the clouds of the Northwest that needs to be awakened.

Tua Chua is also a locality with a diverse, unique and one of the most beautiful terraced fields in the Northwest region, typically the terraced fields in Chieu Tinh field (Ta Phin commune), De De Hu terraced fields (Sinh Phinh commune) and the famous tray field in Hang Khua (Sin Chai commune).
Tua Chua is one of two districts in Dien Bien province with a flooded area in the Son La hydroelectric reservoir (along with Muong Lay town). The ecosystem is extremely rich, the Da River reservoir is so beautiful that it is likened to a miniature Ha Long Bay in the Northwest.
Dien Bien province's recognition of Tua Chua Market as a tourist destination will create favorable conditions for the locality to develop tourism, attracting a large number of domestic and international tourists to visit and experience.
