A woman is missing after a motorboat capsized on the Ba River.

At noon on September 16, Dak Lak province authorities were still trying to find Ms. D.TB (born in 1965, residing in Phu Hoa 1 commune, Dak Lak province), who went missing after her motorboat capsized on the Ba river in the early morning of September 15.

According to Mr. VDH (born in 1964, Mrs. B.’s husband), at about 3 a.m. on September 15, he and Mrs. B. took a motorboat across the Ba River to pick vegetables to sell. When the boat was just in the middle of the stream, it hit a hidden rock, causing it to sway and capsize, and both Mr. H. and his wife fell into the river.

Mrs. B. could not swim, so she panicked and clung to her husband's shirt. Mr. H. tried to help Mrs. B. to shore, but because the shore was too far, he was exhausted and could only helplessly watch his wife sink into the raging water.

Authorities are searching for Ms. B.

It is known that Mr. H. and his wife have a vegetable field by the Ba River. Every day, the couple crosses the river to pick vegetables to bring to the market to sell.
