| Hue Electricity Company staff check the power on and off in key areas. |
On the morning of November 3, Hue Electricity Company (PC Hue) proactively stopped supplying electricity to some deeply flooded areas in many wards in the North and South of Hue City center such as: Thuan Hoa, Phu Xuan, Vy Da, My Thuong, An Cuu... The temporary suspension of electricity is to ensure absolute safety for people, avoiding the risk of electrical incidents due to water entering the equipment.
During the night of November 2 and the morning of November 3, PC Hue's technical staff was mobilized to the maximum to inspect, isolate, and implement response measures. When the water receded, the unit cleaned and measured the safety of equipment, and partially restored power to areas that were eligible for operation.
PC Hue recommends that people do not touch equipment, electrical wires or sockets when there is still standing water; proactively turn off the power in the house if a leak or fire is detected. When the power is restored, it is necessary to use electrical equipment appropriately to avoid overloading and ensure safety.
Currently, PC Hue is continuing to monitor and review infrastructure systems, equipment, and power grids to serve domestic and production electricity in the city to ensure safety during and after floods.
