A different Mu Cang Chai in winter
When the terraced fields are harvested and winter comes, Mu Cang Chai puts on a new, charming coat. Instead of the golden yellow, the hillsides and valleys are adorned with the pure pink of thousands of blooming wild peach trees, creating a picturesque scene.

Golden time to admire
Wild peach blossoms in Mu Cang Chai usually begin to bloom from early December and are at their most brilliant from late December to early February of the following year. This time often coincides with the Lunar New Year, bringing an early spring atmosphere to the Northwest highlands.
For the flowers to bloom most beautifully, there needs to be a combination of cold enough weather, thick fog and dry spring sunshine. At that time, the wild peach trees will bloom together, covering the young leaves, creating "pink clouds" floating across the hillsides.

Journey to discover pink
Right from the time of moving along the winding mountain passes, visitors can see patches of bright pink wild peach blossoms peeking out on the mountain slopes, signaling that the flower season is approaching. The colors of the flowers are everywhere, from the remote valleys, on the hillsides to the small alleys right in the center.

On many roads, peach branches from both sides stretch out, intertwining to form a unique "flower tunnel". Visitors feel as if they are lost in a fairy tale world , just need to reach out and touch the fragile, soft petals.

Important notes for the trip
"Watch" the right time for flowers to bloom
The season of wild peach blossoms usually does not last long, only at its most beautiful for about 10-20 days. Therefore, choosing the departure time is very important. Tourists should regularly monitor weather information, refer to real images shared by the travel community and local people to be able to arrive at the right time when the flowers are in full bloom.
Responsible tourism
Most of the beautiful and ancient wild peach trees are located on people's land, in villages or home gardens. Therefore, visitors should ask permission from the owner before visiting and taking photos. Absolutely do not break branches or shake trees to make flowers fall, and keep public hygiene and do not litter to protect the natural landscape.
