Lam Dong directs handling of riverbank erosion and ensuring safety of Duc Xuyen suspension bridge

The Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee has just issued an urgent document directing coordination in handling the riverbank landslide incident and the risk of insecurity at Duc Xuyen suspension bridge, Nam Ka commune, Dak Lak province.

Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Construction, together with departments, branches, sectors and the People's Committee of Quang Phu commune, to proactively coordinate with the Department of Construction of Dak Lak province and related units to urgently inspect the scene, assess the stability and safety of the connecting road and the safety of Duc Xuyen suspension bridge.

In case of exceeding authority, report and propose handling according to regulations, ensuring safety and timeliness.

Quang Phu Commune People's Committee arranges and maintains forces on duty, maintains signs prohibiting and restricting vehicles, and barriers at Duc Xuyen suspension bridge and landslide points on the road connecting to the bridge; absolutely do not allow people and vehicles to pass through Duc Xuyen suspension bridge if it is deemed unsafe.

At the same time, proactively coordinate with the People's Committee of Nam Ka commune and functional units of the two provinces to agree on a temporary traffic diversion plan for people (if any) to minimize risks.
