On the afternoon of July 28, the Youth Union of the School of Information and Communication Technology (Can Tho University) organized a summary session of the Green Summer - Digital Summer program in 2024.
Following the success of the Green Summer - Digital Summer 2023 program, this activity is organized to create a playground, a place to exchange and train life skills, and knowledge about digital transformation for students of the School of Information Technology - Communications and secondary and high school students.
In addition to traditional social security activities in the summer youth volunteer campaign such as environmental sanitation, repairing and building new bridges and roads, etc., Can Tho young people also promote their creativity to develop their ideas into digital technology application projects aimed at solving practical social problems.

Mr. Huynh Ngoc Thai Anh - Secretary of the Youth Union of the School of Information Technology - Communication (Can Tho University) - said that this is the second time the online digital summer campaign has been launched with enthusiastic participation from Can Tho's young people. More than 100 young people participated in the live seminar series and nearly 1,200 middle and high school students in and outside Can Tho City participated in the training sessions in this year's program.
Accordingly, middle and high school students will participate with the school's students in activities such as design thinking topics, knowledge arena, learning to draw Sketchup 3D, completing 3D designs and prototypes, and finally, discussing ideas about models when integrating STEM...
The models and projects that you implement are mainly based on applying digital transformation, promoting creativity and aiming at community benefits such as the project of a sand screening machine to clean beaches using solar energy, a firefighting robot, a pet care machine, an AI system for school psychology counseling and many other interesting creative models applying technology.

"Through the program, we hope that students will have a greater sense of responsibility towards the community as well as have an environment to learn and improve soft skills such as teamwork skills, critical thinking, and presentation skills. In addition, they will be able to access and apply information technology to support their own learning in the future," said Mr. Thai Anh.
After the program, potential projects will receive funding support from the non-profit Dariu Foundation Vietnam to develop practical products.
