Accordingly, rain appeared in the past 24 hours over a large area and concentrated in the districts of Tam Duong, Tan Uyen, Than Uyen, Sin Ho, Phong Tho. Some places have seen moderate rain, heavy rain, and some places have seen very heavy rain such as Ban Giang (Tam Duong) over 220mm; Ta Gia (Than Uyen) over 270mm; Than Thuoc, Nam Can (Tan Uyen) over 130mm... On some traffic routes such as National Highway 4D, 4H and provincial roads 133, 127... landslides have appeared, causing local traffic congestion.

Immediately after the landslide occurred, the route management units mobilized vehicles, machinery and human resources to focus on fixing the problem. By 10:00 a.m. this morning (June 6), the landslides had been basically fixed temporarily to allow traffic to resume. At key points with high risk of landslides, the patrol forces of the units also placed warning signs to ensure the safety of people and vehicles when passing through.

Local weather forecasting agencies reported that soil in some areas in most districts and cities has reached a state of saturation of more than 85%, causing a high risk of landslides. In the next 6 hours, there will still be rain in the area, with rainfall ranging from 20-50mm.

Many traffic routes were locally blocked due to heavy rain causing landslides.

Rain will cause flash floods on small rivers and streams and flooding in low-lying areas. In particular, landslides and subsidence may occur at some key points on traffic routes and slopes, which can have a very negative impact on the environment, threaten people's lives, and cause local traffic congestion.

The local weather forecast agency recommends that people pay attention when participating in traffic on roads, especially steep mountain passes. In particular, people living in residential areas near rivers, streams, and on steep slopes need to closely monitor weather developments, as well as changes in the state of the land where they live, in order to promptly move to a safe place before landslides occur.
