Recently, the Principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry signed a certificate of commendation for student Le Duc Thang, a second-year student of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, for his act of picking up lost property and finding its owner to return it. Along with the certificate of merit is a reward of 2 million VND from the school.
Before that, at the end of February, after the third period, Thang continued to go to the school library to study. As he walked down the stairs, Thang saw 500,000 VND bills scattered everywhere.

According to Thang, the tiled floor might have been the same blue color as the 500,000 VND bill, so at that time, there were quite a few people passing by but no one saw it.
Without thinking, Thang picked up the 500,000 VND bills scattered all over the floor and brought them straight to the clerk to return to the owner. He left immediately, without leaving his name.
That night, Thang posted information on the school's student page announcing that he had found a large amount of money, and that anyone who lost it should contact the school library to claim it.
When Thang posted information about finding the person who lost the money, many friends commented "found lost property, looking for a place to hide it", "didn't keep it but used it", "should have gone to milk tea", "newbie who hasn't experienced life yet"...
However, Thang knew his friends were just joking, everyone understood the feeling of someone who lost money and wanted to get it back, especially a large amount.
According to information from the Administrative Organization Department of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry, the department is currently holding the amount of 10 million VND that student Le Duc Thang found. The school has notified the owner to find the owner, but for more than a month, the owner has not yet contacted to receive the money.
